The bespoke design process allows you to be a key part of the creation of a piece that is one of a kind, reflecting your story and resulting in a truly unique heirloom.

You are invited to visit the studio for a complimentary design appointment where we can discuss your desired design, budget, metal choice and look at gemstone options. (NB: If you are located outside of Hobart, Tasmania please get in touch and we can chat over the phone/email also).

This appointment will most likely result in some quick sketches and note taking to allow for more detailed sketching & quotation following our meeting.

Please take a moment to view the design galleries & testimonial pages for design inspiration.

What to expect:

  • Sketches: I will then sketch and design several iterations of these options for you to view and select from. These are hand sketched to scale, tinted with watercolour if necessary to help you visualise the finished object.
  • Stone selection – we will discuss your vision, and colour preferences and from there I can source stones to meet your requirements, such as size, colour and budget from one of my industry accredited, ethical gemstone merchants
  • Design: We will work together to determine your dream design. We will discuss, sketch, and collaborate in this stage. We will also discuss wearability & durability for your new pieces always with a consideration for your lifestyle and practical wearability all at the forefront. We will also discuss metal options (colour, carat, durability).
  • Timeline: We will discuss you required timeline and go from there. Most bespoke commissions can be delivered in approximately 2-3 weeks. This is variable depending on your project, material availability (the acquisition of the perfect gemstone can sometimes take some time). If you have an urgent timeframe, we will discuss this at your consultation.
  • Budget: We will discuss this initially to support the deisgn process and ensure we can achieve your dream design - once a design and gemstone selection has been achieved you will then receive your quotation.
  • Manufacture: Your piece will be handmade by Emily in the studio in Hobart, she will usually document the process and can provide you with high resolution images of your finished piece once it is complete.

Before our consultation:

Prior to our consultation have a think about your design or vision, your ideal budget and timeline for delivery.
