The bangle is designed to elegantly wrap around the wrist, moulding to the wearer. The cluster of diamond set seed pods become a focal point as well as assisting to anchor the piece on the wrist.
‘Precious Limb Bangle’ is inspired by the native Australian Salmon Gum (Eucalyptus Salmonophloia). The limbs, branches and surface textures of this species of gum often display a likeness to the human body and gesture. I am intrigued by the naturally occurring folds, creases and wrinkles in the bark and junctions of the tree which I have aimed to recreate within this piece. This was achieved through the technique of die forming.
